Hunting Scrapbook
Fishing Scrapbook
A common backyard occurrence here at Kingfish Country, but unlike the bull on the previous page, this time it's a cow and her newborn calf. It's not unusual for cow moose to give birth to their young, often twins, on the hillside right off the back deck. This normally occurs during the last half of May thru the first half of June.  But you didn't come here to see moose in my backyard. So, without further ado, here's the front door to my Fishing and Hunting Scrapbooks - make your choice below!
I caught this northern river King Salmon on a Big Susitna River tributary, the Deshka River, about 75 road miles north of Eagle River, and another 15 minutes by jet boat once you get it launched and underway.
This bull moose was an early morning stalk and measured about 60" from tip to tip and also met the three brow tine requirements so he was 'double-legal' as the game wardens like to say!
